Prince William and Prince Harry's alleged rift have been in the news since time immemorial. It remains to be a big question as to what ignites their feud, but rumors have it that it began when Meghan Markle joined the royal family. However, a new documentary revealed that the Duke of Cambridge has been stealing the spotlight from his brother since they were young.

In the channel 5 Documentary, Secrets of the Royals on Tour, narrator Glynis Barber revealed Prince William took the stage from Prince Harry when they battled for the public attention at the Royal Yacht Britannia. "While Britannia played its role in historic world events, like the handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997, it's perhaps most remembered for the more intimate family moments," he said, via Express.

He confessed that when the Duke of Sussex made his first public appearance in Italy in 1985 with their parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, his older brother stole the limelight from him. As the Wales family docked in Venice, Kate Middleton's then-young husband quickly got everyone's attention.

Surely, he treated both the public and media with his presence by giving them a wave. As Princess Diana seemed to be busy rocking and talking to their youngest son, Prince William focused his attention on the royal fans who were greeting them when they arrived at the city.

But, when does the royal brothers' feud really started? In 2018, royal filmmaker Nick Bullen confirmed to Fox News that it wasn't Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton who had a rift, but Prince Harry and Prince William. It seemed to be quite normal, as all families fell out, but theirs were publicized, Cosmopolitan noted.

Queen Elizabeth, allegedly, worked hard to make them amicable, sadly, to no avail. Fast forward to 2019, the sixth in line to the throne admitted there was, indeed, a royal rift in the controversial ITV documentary. Anyhow, he knew they were brothers and would always be, so they would still be there for each other.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped their bombshell announcement in January, sources told People Harry and Prince William's relationship is "better than expected." Although they have yet to be on good terms, at least, they both feel relieved that the feud is over.

However, in March, things reportedly get worst. A different source told Us Weekly that the two are filled with "anger and resentment" after Prince Harry returned to England. Allegedly, Prince William still couldn't accept his sibling's decision to move to Canada. Add to that the ice-cold bond they had at the recent Commonwealth Day Service, it looked like they were still far from being okay.
