Things have been getting very interesting with The Mandalorian Season 2 in the past few weeks. In addition to Rosario Dawson reportedly being cast as the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, the Star Wars series recently brought back Episode II: Attack of the Clones actor Temuera Morrison to play the older incarnation of the bounty hunter Boba Fett. So what does the cast of the original trilogy think of Boba's return in the Disney+ show? Mark Hamill has just spoken up about the character's unexpected comeback and his reaction is truly hilarious.

It was previously reported that Temuera Morrison will be playing Boba Fett in The Mandalorian Season 2, a casting move that made a lot of sense considering that the Aquaman actor had previously played Boba's father Jango Fett in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Needless to say, the news had fans excited about the return of the character who first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.

On the other hand, some questioned this possibility since Boba was accidentally thrown into the Pit of Carkoon containing a huge Sarlacc. After all, the creature eats anything that ends up in the pit and it slowly digests its food for several years. Not surprisingly, this is the first thing that came to Mark Hamill's mind when he was told about Boba appearing in the Disney+ series.

Mark Hamill was recently interviewed by Entertainment Tonight where he was asked what he thought about Boba Fett coming back in The Mandalorian Season 2. Interestingly, the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor's reaction was a throwback to Boba's accident on Tatooine.

"I thought he was a decade into getting digested at this point," Hamill said. He then added that he believes that the creative team behind The Mandalorian Season 2 will be able to pull off Boba Fett's comeback.

"There's so many ways they can go and Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are both the right people for the job. They know it better than I do," Hamill concluded.

Temuera Morrison is also believed to be playing a second character in The Mandalorian Season 2, which might be the Clone Trooper Rex from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Since both Boba Fett and Rex are clones of Jango Fett, it would make sense that bothe characters can be played by Morrison.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is expected to resume production soon. The series is then set to premiere on Disney+ by October 2020.
