A self-confessed sasaeng recently sat down for an interview and revealed alarming details about their stalking activities that alarmed many fans.

Sasaengs are rabid fans who obsess about Kpop idols and other celebrities and go to extreme lengths to stalk them to get close to them.

According to the sasaeng, the main reason why they go to extremes is to get the attention of their favorite celebrities.  While many fans are content with following idols on social media to learn about promotional activities, sasaengs would go the extra mile to snoop around on social networks and forums to find out where celebrities are or where they are headed.

This means that they are aware of the celebrities' schedules that are not made available to the public. Apart from schedules, sasaengs beat even the most skilled detectives in finding out personal information about the celebrities they follow. Some even go to the extra effort of applying for jobs to get more information about their idols.

Armed with information about the stars' personal details such as home, dorm addresses and even hotel rooms, celebrities have experienced having their homes invaded by sasaeng intruders who "take souvenirs."

Worse, some sasaengs profit off the information and sell them to other fans. However, what came as a shock to the viewers was the sasaeng's revelation that some obsessed fans even go into prostitution to support their addiction to stalk the idols and maintain the lifestyle.

It can be recalled that plenty of idols have bad experiences with sasaengs leading record labels to double up security to protect their artists. Sasaeng fans have been known to chase idols in airports leading to injuries while some have threatened them on social media, amid threats of legal action.

Most recently, one of sasaengs to gain global attention was Nayeon's German stalker who even flew to Korea to meet with her. The foreigner stayed in Korea for over a month after fans noticed his alarming statements on forums and posts.

While JYP sought police protection for TWICE members as Josh engaged netizens in his rants about the label,  Josh was able to obtain Nayeon's flight information and was able to board the same plane from Japan, causing a ruckus as he tried to approach her.

Josh was also able to obtain Chayeong's personal number and posted it online, causing a massive flood of messages and calls from strangers. The foreign stalker has since returned to Germany but recently came to attention again as he threatened to kill Nayeon if she betrayed him by dating someone else.
