Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently starting a new life in Los Angeles. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US after they officially stepped down from their senior royal roles at the end of March.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their withdrawal, they said that they will repay what was spent on the refurbishing of their Frogmore Cottage home. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not paid anything yet, although it was never detailed as to when exactly were they obliged to pay.

But this upsets royal commentator Dawn Neesom. She told Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine Show that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should pay up. "Just give us the money back now,” she demanded.

Dawn Neesom pointed out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “paying millions” to their rented mansion in Los Angeles. She said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex owe UK taxpayers £2.4million, which was used for the refurbishing of their 10-bedroom Frogmore Cottage and they should pay as soon as possible.

Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved to Los Angeles with their son Archie, Frogmore Cottage will remain their UK family home.

The royal commentator noted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have millions in their banks, so they should pay what they owe and should not be given terms on this. "It's not like the country doesn't need it at the moment, is it?" she said.

Jeremy Vine then said that Prince Harry is worth about £30million and Meghan Markle probably worth half that. But then the host shared that he wasn’t sure if the figures were accurate.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Prince Harry’s net worth is $40 million. The site revealed that Meghan Markle’s net worth is $5 million.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said during their withdrawal announcement that they wished to be “financially independent.” It is believed that they will start a new career path in the US, but the coronavirus outbreak and the implemented lockdown seemed to have put their plans to a screeching halt.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were banned to use “royal” in their future activities, the couple announced their new foundation called Archewell. They also released a statement saying that they had no intention of using their royal brand after their royal exit. However, there are no further details about their new venture.
