Lakers superstar LeBron James is looking to see a fitting conclusion to the suspended NBA season, and while separated by more than two decades, he is convinced he would be a great teammate to Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. These were the thoughts shared by the four-time league MVP, appearing on a recent online interview.

On top of James' mind is the resolve of finishing what the Lakers have started in the season. Purple & Gold was the best on the west side of the NBA competition when the games were halted in March, and according to the NBA champion, it's only appropriate to bring the season to an end, in which there will be a title winner.

Speaking with YouTube channel Uninterrupted, the 35-year-old said there is no way he'll give up on the interrupted season, echoing his earlier take on the matter that canceling the campaign will not bring him closure.

"Definitely not giving up on the season ... Not only myself and my teammates, the Lakers organization, we want to play. There's a lot of players that I know personally that want to play," Time reported the Lakers' franchise player as saying.

He added that if ever the games are played, the paramount concern has to be the health of NBA players and personnel. James said that while the coronavirus pandemic is something that nobody can control, for now, putting people at risk should be the top priority for league officials if the NBA season is restarted.

James added that while controlling the virus is difficult at the moment; the top priority is to make sure that players' health and that of their family members will not be compromised, if and when the games are resumed.

On the subject of basketball great Jordan, whose "Last Dance" documentary reignited the spirited comparison with James, the Lakers star said he sees the 57-year-old Jordan as an inspiration and not a competition.

More so, James thought that his basketball would fit well with the way Jordan, who was legendary with his absolute competitiveness, played the game, adding that as a basketball player, "my best assets work perfectly with Mike."

"When it comes to playing the game of basketball, scoring the way he [Jordan] scored the ball [then] my ability to pass, my ability to read the game plays and plays and plays in advance," Yahoo Sports reported James as saying.

James entered the league in 2003 and never got the chance to play with or against MJ, but he recalled attending Jordan's summer camp, where he'd always get the chance to be on the same side of the NBA legend.

The NBA superstar recalled that during the camp games that Jordan staged every year, he mostly joined the side of Jordan and could not recall losing a game.
