Melania Trump announced that she will be making an address about mental hardship and safety issues amid the global coronavirus pandemic. However, it didn't sit well with some netizens. Many Americans questioned the authority of the First Lady on making talks about mental health and safety but some praised Melania for her efforts at this time of health crisis.

On Monday, FLOTUS took to Twitter to announce that she would be discussing COVID-19 response and recovery efforts of the Trump's administration with the state governors. Melania added that she would also address the mental hardship and safety concern that the pandemic has caused to children and their families as well as the efforts of the states on helping them out.

Melania's post, however, garnered negative comments from social media users. Many questioned her capability to speak about the subjects that she mentioned in her tweet.

Others mocked Donald Trump's wife for her lack of experience on the matter, saying her previous career as a model wouldn't help them in this time of crisis. Others poked fun at the Trumps, saying Melania is not different from her husband and other people in power and wealth who are clueless of the people's plight at this time of the pandemic.

But not all are harsh on judging Melania's COVID-19 efforts. Many expressed gratitude to the First Lady and praised her for keeping her composure despite criticisms that have been thrown on her.

In addition, Melania has been praised for showing a more decisive approach to the pandemic than the president. Reports have it that she ordered her staff to work from home from the early days of the pandemic and also repeatedly urged Americans to wear masks.

Meanwhile, Melania joined President Trump, Vice-President Mike Pence, and other administration officials on a video conference call in the White House Situation Room with the state governors. The team urged the governors to reopen their states despite the warning from health experts about the possibility of the second wave of the coronavirus.

As the country gets back on business, Melanie continued to remind everyone about CDC guidelines such as wearing a face mask and practicing social distancing. This is despite the continued disregard of such guidelines by the two top officials of the land: Trump and Pence.

COVID-19 has so far infected over 1.52 million Americans and killed almost 90,000. Its effect on the U.S. is equally devastating. At least 36 million people have lost jobs and the U.S. unemployment record hits the level that hasn't been seen since the Great Depression.
