George Clooney and his wife, Amal, have been added to the tabloids' list of celebrity couples who are allegedly having marital problems amidst the coronavirus pandemic. A tabloid claimed the Clooneys' marriage is on the brink of collapse as the couple has been clashing over their parenting styles.

In the latest issue of the New Idea, it claimed that George and Amal are struggling in keeping their marriage afloat. The tabloid alleged that the couple has been in "explosive fights" over their different styles in raising their twins.

The tabloid used blurred photos of the couple to suggest that they were fighting while taking a walk on the beach. However, Gossip Cop noted that the images don't show that George and Amal were fighting.

A few weeks ago, the Globe alleged that The Descendants actor and Amal were heading for a $500 million divorce. The tabloid claimed the Clooneys were used to spending time apart because of the nature of their jobs.

However, since London has been placed on lockdown, George and his human rights lawyer wife were forced to spend time at home. The couple reportedly can't stand one more day in close quarters with each other.

Its sister publication Star, however, claimed the opposite. It alleged that the quarantine had brought the Clooneys closer than ever.

Star reported that the Gravity actor and Amal have been enjoying time with their twins. It added that quarantining together also put back the romance in the couple's marriage.

Gossip Cop debunked both stories as well as the new claim of New Idea. The site stressed that even the less extreme claim of these tabloids couldn't be true as it suggests that George and Amal have more comfortable living separately and they have been in this set-up before the lockdown.

Clooney's rep assured earlier this year that the Clooneys were not living apart. They have been staying together in London even before the lockdown as the Batman actor has been filming his upcoming movie, The Midnight Sky, in the U.K.

Meanwhile, George and Amal Clooney are just one of the several Hollywood couples that were rumored having marital troubles while on lockdown. Last month, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were allegedly trying to keep sane while living in a "house of horrors." The couple was reportedly struggling having all of their children in close quarters together.

Gwyneth Paltrow and husband, Brad Falchuk, were also reportedly having a hard time adjusting to life together at home. The Faltrows were allegedly not used to spending much time together. It can be recalled that the couple waited for a year after their wedding before they moved in together in September.

Just recently, Star also claimed Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, and Mila Kunis were having the same predicament in their marriage. The tabloid claimed the actresses were struggling to spend lockdown with their respective spouses.
