Yellowstone season 3 will premiere on Paramount Network next month. There are a lot of things to expect in this new installment, including new chaos and more drama. It would also dive further into politics, corruption, and intriguing battles.
One of the biggest threats for the Dutton family in Yellowstone season 3 is Josh Holloway's Roarke Morris. He is a developer and a powerful hedge-fund manager, someone who could bring a huge amount of stress to John Dutton and his family.
Roarke could stir up some chaos, especially since he's willing to do whatever he can to make his plan happen. The Lost alum's character is also described as "incredibly charismatic," and he can use his charm whenever he can to get what he wants.
In an interview with TVInsider, Holloway discussed how his character could be a huge adversary in Yellowstone season 3. He said Roarke is not a stranger in doing cruel tactics, largely because he's used to dealing with business on both sides of the law. He is definitely a threat to everyone in the area.
Holloway added Roarke has no problems going head-to-head with Beth Dutton. The latter is terrifying most of the time, but Roarke isn't afraid of her. But even though they're on the opposite side, they could have a certain chemistry. Moreover, the actor promises actions between Roarke and the Duttons.
Roarke's ambitious plan in Montana is to build an airport and a city in the heart of Yellowstone. He's willing to do everything he can to make this happen, with the trailer showing he has clear plans for the area. The Duttons recognize this is a big problem, so they need to do their best to protect their home.
And even though there's potential chaos within the family, they still need to fight for what they believe in. Despite the setbacks and threats, their main goal is to protect and save the ranch. Apart from all of these, the upcoming installment also needs to address other stories.
For instance, Beth and Rip's relationship is interesting to explore. It remains to be seen where they're heading moving forward. There is also a concern when it comes to John's children, particularly if they'll be able to find their place in the world.
Meanwhile, the good news is that Yellowstone season 3 will not be the final installment of the series as Paramount Network renewed it for season 4. It only makes sense the network decided to continue the series, given that it's one of the most successful programs when it comes to ratings.
Yellowstone season 3 premieres on Sunday night, June 21, on Paramount Network.
