FC Barcelona has been linked to Lautaro Martinez, a move that could go down by the next transfer window. However, it remains that taking in the Mexican footballer won't be that easy considering there are financial obstacles ahead. And that in mind, former Nerazzurri striker Ivan Zamorano believes that the Catalan Giants may not Barca holds low chances of sealing the deal with the 22-year-old football player.

For Barcelona to get it done, it would take a lot. That includes dealing away several players so that they can have the budget to take in Martinez. But as one can see, it is a pretty complicated process that may take time to consummate. Given that Martinez is also pursued by several teams, Barca does not have the luxury of time and would need to act fast to get this done.

Finances are something that Zamorano feels will hinder the transfer of Martinez from Inter to Barcelona. The 53-year-old feels that Barcelona is facing economic woes to pull it off. Also, he feels it would be in the best interest of Martinez to remain with Inter Milan. Before the current season came to a pause, Martinez accounted for 18 goals in 33 appearances, MisionTUDN reported.

"Barcelona has economic problems that don't allow them to sign Lautaro, so in my opinion, he'll stay, I have no doubt," Zamorano said.

A Martinez exit seemed imminent with Inter expressing interest in Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint-Germain. However, Zamorano feels that adding the Uruguayan football player was being eyed not as a safety precaution but as someone who could play alongside Martinez. If ever he was to replace someone, it would not be Martinez but Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez has been linked to a move to Manchester United, yet another player who could be on the move this summer.

"I guarantee that Lautaro is the future of Inter," Zamorano said. "Barcelona must put €100 million on the table, which is the least that Inter has asked for Lautaro."

Aside from Zamorano, former AC Milan and Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello believe it would be best for Martinez to stay with Inter. He sees no sense of moving to Barca with the Mexican holding low chances of making the first team. A reason for this is the presence of Luis Suarez. Though Quique Setien could always consider playing them together, chemistry would be an issue.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting if a deal will go down between Inter and Barca for Martinez. There are recent reports that a deal is being finalized but the transfer fee is being negotiated. As Zamorano pointed out, financial issues tied to Martinez still loom.
