Station 19 season 4 will further explore Andy Herrera's storyline, considering what happened to her at the end of the previous installment. Her journey is one of the most interesting parts of the series and it seems like there are more stories to tell with her life.
Andy has gone through a lot in the third season, wherein she lost two important people in her life: her friend Ryan and father Pruitt. What's more is that she found out her mother isn't dead and she has to figure out the circumstances behind it. The latter will be one of the stories in Station 19 season 4.
Entering the new season, one of the main questions here is: what really happened to Andy's mother and why did she move away? Perhaps, there is a huge reason as to why she decided to go and Pruitt may hold some answer to that. But since he's gone now, Andy has to figure that out for herself.
It's also a question as to why Pruitt decided to keep the truth about Andy's mother. There could be a reason why he did it and chose to hide it. Or, her mom probably just left willingly because of a particular reason. There's a lot of cover in this storyline once Station 19 season 4 arrives.
But aside from the mysteries surrounding Andy's mother, the upcoming installment may also explore her marriage with Sullivan. Although it's apparent that she loves him, it seems like she married him because of her father. Andy and Sullivan need to work on some things to keep their relationship going.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Jaina Lee Ortiz discussed what's coming for her character Andy and Sullivan in Station 19 season 4. She said Andy married Sullivan for Pruitt that for herself. Although she loves him, she also feels lost when it all happened.
Andy and Sullivan never had the chance to get to know each other and grow as a couple, as everything between them comes so suddenly. Sullivan also deals with his surgery, drug addiction issues, so how would Andy handle that given that she's also dealing with her grief?
Lastly, since Andy is a firefighter, Station 19 season 4 will further see the characters dealing with the struggles that come along with her job. More dangerous crises are likely coming up, putting her in a difficult position. We'll probably see more of her handling some problems we haven't seen before.
