Queen Elizabeth II is the world's most popular royal in the world. As stated, when one refers to a "Queen," everybody would immediately think that this is directly referencing the British Monarch.

The truth is, there are a lot of Royal Families in the world. The British Royal Family is just one of them. But, they are deemed to be today's most popular family across the Earth, according to the Daily Express.

While they are at the top of the popularity list, they are not reportedly hitting the top spots in terms of wealth. As it happens, they are not the richest Royal Family, and Queen Elizabeth II is not the richest royal.

The British Monarch has a staggering net worth of $500 million, based on Forbes's list. She is even described as "loaded" because of her overall wealth and assets.

However, her estimated nine-figure net worth reportedly lands her below the list. As explained, there are over 2,000 billionaires in the world today, including several royals and monarchs across the globe. But, despite being not a billionaire royal, many individuals would surely get envious of her and the rest of the British Royals' lifestyle.

The reports noted that Queen Elizabeth II earns her income from a "portfolio of properties," and "decades-old real estate trust." As for her official expenses, they are all paid for from the Sovereign Grant.

These expenses reportedly include payroll, maintenance, housekeeping, and official travels. But, just like everyone else, all British Royals have to pay their taxes, as well.

The same publication noted that the Queen owns several assets, such as the Balmoral Castle and Sandringham Estate. However, some of the most popular and valuable assets, including the Buckingham Palace, are reportedly owned by a "body" known as the Crown Estate. In short, Queen Elizabeth II does not possess this portfolio.

But, it is believed that if she were to possess the Crown Estate, she will become the richest person in the United Kingdom. She will also reportedly become the third-richest woman in the world.

In a report released by Cheat Sheet, it is revealed that the royals who are much richer than Queen Elizabeth II are billionaires. These royals include Prince Albert of Monaco, who reportedly has a staggering net worth of $1 billion.

The same is also reportedly true for King Mohammad Vi. As shared, his net worth is estimated at around $2 billion.

As for the other royals who "outrank" Queen Elizabeth II in terms of wealth, these reportedly include Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who currently has an $18 billion net worth.
