Ryan Seacrest grabbed the headlines recently not only because of the American Idol Season 18 finale but because many thought he had a stroke during the episode. New rumors indicated that the TV host could have administered Botox injection at home and it could cost him his eyesight.

National Enquirer published a story with a headline, "Fears Seacrest Is Going Blind!" The tabloid claimed Seacrest could go blind not because of the alleged stroke that he had on air. Instead, it could be due to the Botox injection that he could have recently.

A source of the tabloid, who claimed to know Seacrest, alleged that the droopy right eye during the AI broadcast could be the result of the Botox injection that he might have administered by himself or someone else at his home. The insider added administering Botox without the supervision of a cosmetic surgeon is concerning.

The tabloid quoted a plastic surgeon as saying if the injection was done incorrectly, it could result in permanent damage such as Ryan could go blind. The surgeon alleged Seacrest's situation appeared serious as it involves his speech and suggests a toxic or metabolic or neurological condition.

During the broadcast of the AI season finale last month, many viewers noticed that Seacrest's words slightly slurred and his right eye appears larger than his left. The speculation that Ryan had a stroke was further fueled when he missed an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan the following day.

Gossip Cop debunked the National Enquirer story as purely fabricated. As many fans have known by now, Ryan Seacrest is back on Live with Kelly and Ryan after taking a day off due to exhaustion.

His rep also denied the earlier concern of fans that the TV personality could have suffered from a stroke after he was seen on TV with one eye half-closed and has slurred speech. His rep explained that Seacrest was just tired and has been feeling the stress of working at home because he has been broadcasting four shows from his Los Angeles house.

The TV/radio host himself dismissed the speculations and addressed his absence and health concerns. After his day off from Live With Kelly and Ryan, he returned to the daytime talk show and talked about the incident in the AI finale. He told Ripa that it was all due to exhaustion.

A few weeks before the AI season finale, Seacrest admitted to Entertainment Weekly that he wasn't sure if he could still be able to make all of his shows. Over the past years, Ryan has been doing American Idol, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials in Los Angeles. Then he travels to New York City to co-host Live with Kelly and Ryan.
