Kim Kardashian and Meghan Markle's names have been linked to each other since the latter married Prince Harry. Over the years, tabloids have tried to suggest that Kardashian was desperate in trying to build a friendship with the Duchess of Sussex.
Gossip Cop listed down some of the tabloids' claims that linked the two women to each other. Apparently, Kim had tried to befriend Prince William and Kate Middleton first but she failed. Then the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star turned her attention to Meghan and Harry.
Firstly, OK! Magazine alleged that right after Meghan and Harry's engagement, Kim tried to snag an invitation to the royal couple's wedding. The tabloid claimed the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been pulling all her connections just so she could attend the nuptials.
Moreover, Kim allegedly arranged the creation of diamond earrings that match Meghan's engagement ring as a wedding gift. Kardashian's rep debunked the rumor, saying Kim did not try to get herself invited to the wedding.
Then before the Suits actress gave birth to her son, Archie, Heat reported that Kardashian sent Meghan a lavish baby shower gift in hopes of winning the former's friendship. A source of the tabloid claimed the money wasn't a concern to Kim and she would do everything to impress the Duchess when the opportunities arise.
Kardashian's camp again denied the rumor. The 39-year-old mother-of-four did not send expensive baby shower gifts for the Sussex baby.
Earlier this year, NW reported that Kim and her husband, Kanye West, were going on double dates with Harry and Meghan. The tabloid's source alleged Kanye was on board of Kim's plan as he sees it as an opportunity to take his Sunday church service to the next level.
The SKIMS founder, reportedly, determined to get to know the actress-turned-royalty better as she is about to make a Hollywood comeback. Kim, allegedly, enlisted the help of her and Meghan's mutual friends to make it happen.
All of these rumors have been debunked by Gossip Cop. Kim's camp has also stressed multiple times that the reality star is not desperate to get close to Meghan.
Though Kim had previously said she empathizes with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over the harsh scrutiny by the UK media, that was all about it. During an interview with Australia's The Sunday Project, Kim was asked about how she feels about the famous royal family.
Kardashian said she empathizes with Meghan and Harry's plight to have a safe place and privacy for their young family. She added that the couple's journey is extremely personal especially with Harry's mother, Princess Diana's experience, and how her life was affected by the paparazzi.
