Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are two of the most popular members of the Royal family. When The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in 2018, they quickly garnered a huge number of supporters who backed up all their activities and campaigns.

So when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Sussex Royal account was created on Instagram, they amassed over 11 million followers. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have lost hundreds of thousands of followers on the social media platform after abandoning it upon their royal exit.

Queen Elizabeth previously released a statement via the Buckingham Palace that she supports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision of stepping down as senior royals. But just like everyone else, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s choice also came with a price.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not only lose their HRH titles and the Duke of Sussex’s military title, but they will also be banned from using the word “royal” in their future activities. The couple then released a statement of their own noting that they had no intention of using the “Sussex Royal” brand after they officially leave their roles.

After saying their goodbyes to their Instagram followers on March 30, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not posted on the Sussex Royal account since. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had 11.3 million followers in April, and they are now down to 11.1 million as of this writing.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams previously shared that he believes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will officially close their Sussex Royal account this month. Reports also claimed that the couple was set to close down their Sussex Royal Foundation as they start their new life outside the Royal family. However, their account is still up on the social media platform, but there was no new post.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new foundation name is called Archewell. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared that they were inspired by the word “Arche” for their new foundation, which is also the name of their son.

However, people are not as impressed with the name as many may expect. Some even compared it to two controversial brands such as Tom Cruise’s religion, Scientology, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness and lifestyle company, Goop.

The release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new foundation came to a screeching halt after the coronavirus outbreak led to an implemented lockdown.
