Fans are on the warpath after YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK Lisa was scammed by her former manager by over 1 billion won. While YG assured that things have been settled, BLINKs are concerned that Lisa would be traumatized by her long-time manager's betrayal.
According to a report by All Kpop, YG launched an internal investigation after learning that BLACKPINK Lisa was duped into shelling out 1 billion won for potential investments.The agency revealed that Lisa sought the help of manager 'A' in looking for a real estate property to invest in. The manager asked Lisa to provide 1 billion won, which she immediately handed over to the manager because she trusted him.
However, the former manager, allegedly, blew off the money in gambling. Sources close to Lisa said that after learning of the manager's betrayal, the Thai rapper is suffering from fear and anxiety due to the shock.
YG said that because of Lisa's wishes to settle the matter internally, the manager was fired without legal charges. 'A' has also paid back a portion of the amount and will repay the remaining portion.
The label apologized for the incident that caused their artist a lot of grief, and for worrying the fans. The company admitted that they too were shocked at the manager's actions and bore the weight of responsibility regarding the person's actions.YG also assured that they will become even more vigilant so that a similar incident will not happen again.
