Michael and Carole Middleton are very close with their grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Although they are now linked to the Royal Family after Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011, they are used to living their lives as regular citizens so they like to spend more time with their family.
As for Prince Charles, he loves his grandchildren very much and would want to spend time with them just as much as Michael and Carole Middleton do. However, the Prince of Wales is not as lucky as Kate Middleton’s parents and is started getting resentful towards the Middletons. He, reportedly, complained that he “almost never sees Prince George.”
A report then revealed that Carole Middleton was very upset after learning Prince Charles’ revelation. As a result, the Middletons are keeping a low profile and “keeping a respectful distance.”
“She was devastated,” the source said. “All she had ever wanted is to be a good mother and grandmother, not upset anyone in the process.”
Michael and Carole Middleton have a lot of extra time on their hands, especially because they own a family business and can control their time, so they shower Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with so much love, affection, and attention.
And because the Middletons are basically party experts, they fully organized Prince George’s third birthday in 2016. Of course, Prince Charles and Camilla were invited, but the latter didn’t go because she had other commitments.
A report shared that Prince Charles went to Prince George’s third birthday despite the absence of Camilla because he didn’t want to miss his grandson’s special day. However, he was, reportedly, upset that the whole celebration was orchestrated by the Middletons. The future king, allegedly, felt left out.
As if that’s not enough, Prince William is also extremely close to Kate Middleton’s parents. The Duke of Cambridge spends more time with the Middletons than the Royal Family.
Since Michael and Carole Middleton are not living a royal life, they were able to help Prince William feel what it’s like to have an ordinary life. No rules, no obligations, no pressure.
It seems that Prince William saw his mom’s personality in Kate Middleton’s family as he feels very at home with them. The Duke of Cambridge is so close with his in-laws that he used to lie down on Carole’s lap and spent hours talking to Michael.
