FX has already Mayans M.C. season 3, but the arrival of the series remains uncertain right now. Usually, the show is being released in the fall, but that may not be the case this time. Because of the current global health crisis, the third installment won't likely return anytime soon.

New episodes of the series were typically filmed during the late spring or early summer but for Mayans M.C. season 3, that filming schedule wasn't followed. According to CarterMatt, the upcoming installment won't be back for production over the next few weeks.

The top priority of the series, for now, is making sure the cast and crew are safe. It can be noted that the show comes with a lot of cast members and goes to different locations. So, it wouldn't be easy for them to start working immediately, especially with social distancing.

If ever Mayans M.C. season 3 won't arrive in September 2020, the new season may premiere in November. However, that would only be possible if they start filming in the coming months. And if there's a delay, we could likely see the series in early 2021, or a soon as the world goes back to normal.

Despite the potential delay, a lot of stories are coming in Mayans M.C. season 3. The latest installment will tie some of the loose ends from the season 2 finale, but it will also open a new chapter for EZ. Reports suggest the third installment features new stories, focusing on gang politics.

The first two seasons followed EZ settling on the M.C. culture, with the second season ending with EZ finally receiving his full patch and now an official Mayan M.C. member. The episode ended with a massive cliffhanger: the gang was standing over a body. Although the face wasn't shown, it's apparent that it's a SAMCRO member.

The series stars J. D. Pardo as Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, Clayton Cardenas as Angel Reyes, Sarah Bolger as Emily Thomas, Carla Baratta as Adelita, Michael Irby as Bishop Losa, Raoul Trujillo as Taza Romero, Richard Cabral as El Coco Cruz, Danny Pino as Miguel Galindo, Edward James Olmos as Felipe Reyes, and Antonio Jaramillo as Riz Ariza.

Meanwhile, FX announced that series creator Kurt Sutter won't be returning in Mayans M.C. season 3. That only means Elgin James would take over the new installment. Reportedly, Sutter has been axed because of complaints about his behavior. This will be the first season without Sutter on board.
