Prince Charles and Princess Diana are proofs that even Royals, who people consider to have a picture-perfect life, also face marital problems. In fact, the Prince and Princess of Wales’s issues were too much for them to handle that they ended up in divorce after over 10 years of marriage.

Now, a report claims that Queen Elizabeth knew that this was going to happen. Her Majesty reportedly suggested that the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana was destined to end due to her son’s key trait.

"The Queen thinks that one of the reasons Charles' marriage to Diana didn't last was because he waited too long,” the royal source said from 2006. ”At 32, he was too set in his ways."

At that time, Prince Charles was reportedly pressured to find a suitable companion that would help him with the duties of royal life. Instead of finding a woman that he loves to be his wife, he appeared to be searching for someone that fits the part.

People have already been doubtful about Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s relationship in the beginning. But the Royal couple appeared to have settled well as husband and wife, especially when their beautiful sons arrived.

However, the fairytale didn’t last long when Princess Diana decided to divorce from Prince Charles. People started to point their fingers on who to blame for the end of the couple’s marriage. Many blamed the Prince of Wales for his romantic connection with Camilla Parker Bowles. Others blamed Camilla for ruining the Royal couple’s union.

But as for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, royal expert Robert Lacey previously said that they blamed their son for his disastrous marriage to Princess Diana.

Although weddings are supposed to be one of the happiest days of a person’s life, that wasn’t the case for Prince Charles as he had doubts and didn’t want to go through with it. He wanted to be with Camilla, but he also wanted the Crown, the latter appeared to be more important to him, so he married Princess Diana.

Since Prince Philip was the one who chose Prince Charles' bride, he blamed his father for “forcing him into an unhappy marriage." Prince Charles eventually followed his heart and continued his feelings with Camilla while still married to Princess Diana.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall have been married for 15 years.
