Glenn Robinson III was part of the pack that the Warriors shipped out last January 2020 and it turned out his former teammates refused to fully embrace the deal. Robinson was well-loved on and off the court by the Dubs roster and there is a chance that the Sixers forward could soon make his way back to the Bay Area.

The departure earlier this year was not a popular decision by the Warriors front office as Robinson proved he is an asset in just 48 games with the team. He averaged 12.9 points per game and worked hard to make his presence felt in other areas of the game. And Robinson is quite deadly when allowed to snipe from beyond the arc.

However, the strongest appeal of Robinson is his connection with the players, and according to Connor Letourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle, the small forward has "a steadying locker-room presence."

Per Clutch Points, Letourneau reported: "Robinson was an above-average defender who could knock down the open 3-pointer and find open driving lanes."

So the move to send Robinson to Philadelphia had reportedly caused an uproar in the Warriors dugout and while the players were saddened that D'Angelo Russell was traded to Minnesota, they felt twice the disappointment upon hearing the news of Robinson's transfer.

But the good news is the former Warriors will be a free agent in the offseason and for him, the door is open for the possibility of wearing his old uniform again. According to NBC Sports, Robinson was heartbroken that he was forced to move out but the promise of a reunion with his Warriors friends thrills him no end.

"Would I rule it out? Not with this organization ... They were really great to me, and like I said, really changed my career, so it's no bad feelings, no hard love for Golden State," Robinson told NBC.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had a disappointing season after years of dominating the league but it's clear that he intends to make a run on the NBA title again next campaign. It's highly likely that Kerr would welcome the return of Robinson and when that happens, he will be rejoining a squad that will boast of healthier core talents.

By next season, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will be playing in full capacity and the Warriors are no doubt one of the top seeds to win the championship.

Kerr, by the way, has made clear that while Russell is a talented player, he was not the perfect fit for the Dubs. In most cases, Russell merely replicates all the things that both Curry and Thompson can do, the Warriors coach said.
