The coronavirus pandemic doesn't only affect Ellen DeGeneres' show but her real estate business as well. According to a new tabloid report, the TV host is losing her investment in flipping houses because of the ongoing pandemic.

DeGeneres and her wife, Portia De Rossi, have been known in flipping luxury houses and they are successful in this venture. However, according to In Touch, the couple is facing a "cash crunch" because of the pandemic and Ellen is now scrambling to protect her fortune.

The tabloid claimed DeGeneres and de Rossi have listed their mansion in Los Angeles for $58 million. Apparently, the couple bought it from Adam Levine in 2017 for $45.5 million.

However, a source of the tabloid claimed Ellen wouldn't get anywhere close to her asking price. The insider added that it would be surprising if the Finding Dory actress would get at least $30 million for the property.

The source added Ellen has been feeling the house crunch. Since she has so much money invested in several houses, Ellen could, reportedly, go broke if she wouldn't be able to sell the properties.

The dubious source even implied that the prospect of losing millions on her property investments could make Ellen take a hard line on her show. The insider was referring to the claim of her staff that they were replaced by non-union crew as DeGeneres continues to broadcast her daily talk show from her home.

Gossip Cop noted that In Touch could have made the assumption that Ellen is losing her real estate investments based on the Variety article last month about the TV host.

In the Variety story, the Emmy-winning comedian and Portia were, reportedly, interested in selling her house in Beverly Hills, California for $58 million. The pair were, reportedly, willing to discreetly do a house tour to pre-qualified buyers.

Gossip Cop also noted how In Touch anchored its story to the alleged marital problems of DeGeneres and de Rossi. The Scandal actress, allegedly, doesn't understand why the talk show host is obsessed with money. This, allegedly, caused a tension in their relationship.

The publication, however, added that this is not the first time In Touch made an allegation that de Rossi has moved out of their Beverly Hills home. Before California was placed under lockdown in March, the tabloid reported that Portia moved into of one of their houses in Montecito.

This was proven to be untrue as many have known that Ellen and Portia are quarantining together at their house in Montecito. The couple often posted on social media some photos or videos of them together over the last months.
