BTS is not only the biggest boy group in the world right now, but they are also trendsetters. Whatever RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook wear, they quickly sold out.

The boys have noted multiple times, through their words and actions, that it’s okay to break out from the norm. BTS always makes sure to remind their fans that they should love themselves no matter what.

BTS always practices what they preach and V recently breaks the stereotype yet again. While people are slowly accepting seeing men wearing make-up, many are still uncomfortable seeing them wearing women’s fashion. But BTS has been spotted numerous times wearing female clothes, shoes, bags, and more.

On June 7, BTS participated in YouTube’s “Dear Class of 2020” event where they held a commencement speech and gave three performances. When the boys performed “Spring Day,” they were sitting in a stool where they casually cross their legs at times.

Since all of them were wearing white and light-colored outfits, ARMYs’ eyes were quickly drawn to V’s brown shoes. But the color was not the only thing that captured their attention as they noticed that the style was a slingback. (Watch the clip here).

Slingback shoes are mostly worn by women. The pair that V worn during the three performances were made by FENDI, an Italian luxury fashion house. While it was not noted if the footwear was only meant for women, the style is something that men don’t wear.

What made the style seemingly not set for males is the fact that it is considered as sandals with a strap in the back. Since men are mostly active, wearing slingback shoes is not very easy and practical. However, V didn’t only look good in them, but he managed to dance “Boy With Luv” without missing a beat and had fun with the boys during “Mikrokosmos.” (Watch the clip here).

RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are known for supporting equality and they don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. The members have broken gender barriers multiple times. In fact, in one of their magazine interviews, Jungkook shared that a great style to him his “wearing anything you like, regardless of gender.”

Just like what Jungkook said about fashion, the boys have been spotted a lot of times wearing women’s fashion — from earrings to shoes. J-Hope even wore a skirt in one of the photoshoots.
