If Twilight fans think the cast of the epic saga had a blast while filming the first movie since the cast members were in the same age range, they are mistaken. Anna Kendrick revealed that she was miserable during the filming of the first Twilight movie.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kendrick talked about her career and the movies that she made in the past. One of which is the iconic Twilight saga.
The Trolls World Tour actress recalled the challenges that she and her fellow cast members have to endure while shooting the vampire flick. Anna said they filmed the initial installment in Portland, Oregon and she was cold and miserable.
Kendrick said her shoes were always soaked with water because of the weather at their set location. Kendricks said what helped her not to feel depressed was the fact that she was working with a great group of people and she was looking forward to becoming friends with them.
Ironically, the bad weather made the cast grow closer. Kendrick said when you shared the same traumatic event, people tend to bond together. She compared the experience to getting hostage and the survivors became friends for life.
Kendrick played the role of Jessica, the high school classmate of Kristen Stewart's character Bella Swan. She portrayed the character in four of the five Twilight movies.
Kendrick returned in the 2009 sequel Twilight Saga: New Moon. She said the weather at the time was a little better than the first movie and the cast got a chance to know each other better.
The third installment where Jessica gave a valedictorian speech, Kendrick said she didn't understand why her character was chosen to do the speech. The Up In The Air actress said Jessica doesn't seem to be a great student to her.
She also recalled the fans' reaction to Jessica's speech. Kendrick said some told her they were moved by her speech in Twilight Saga: Eclipse but she believed that it was Steward's reaction when the camera panned out to her that touched viewers.
Finally, her last appearance was in Breaking Dawn Part 1 wherein Jessica along with her and Bella's friends attended the latter's wedding to Edward (Robert Pattinson). The Pitch Perfect star recalled that the wedding scenes were shot last. Anna said she showed up on set overjoyed that it was the last day of filming while the truth was she filmed for just a week or two while the main cast members shot scenes for months.
Kendrick rose to fame in Twilight and now, she is one of the critically acclaimed actresses of her generation. Anna is also looking for an Emmy consideration this year for her role in the comedy series Dummy. She also starred in the first season of HBO Max's romantic comedy anthology series Love Life.
