There are so many ships in the K-pop world. These ships are created by fans who feel that something more than friendship is going on between two members.

Most of these ships are nothing serious and are just for fun, as fans are just playfully pointing out the idols’ tight relationship with each other. But as for Suga, he didn't need the fans to make a ship for him as he voluntarily shipped himself with J-Hope and called it SOPE (Suga + J-Hope).

On June 10, BTS uploaded “Map of the Song: 7“ on YouTube, which is a fun Karaoke time with the members for FESTA 2020. The boys were divided into units: “Maknae Line” Jimin, V, and Jungkook. “Namjin” RM and Jin. And “SOPE” Suga and J-Hope.

Maknae Line, Namjin, and SOPE should sing songs from another unit, and they should have a “7” in their score (ex. 97) to get more chances to win the grand prize, which is a custom Galaxy earbuds. Other prizes include photocards, rookie era march, and more.

Both Maknae Line and Namjin failed to get a “7” on their score after singing three songs. But for SOPE, they got a “78” in their first try. Even though they have three chances, Suga and J-Hope only sang two songs after wrecking their throats to Jimin and V’s “Friends” and Vocal Line’s “The Truth Untold.”

Suga and J-Hope then picked from the lucky draw board to claim their prize. J-Hope revealed that he got a photo card, and Suga said that he got the same thing too. “It’s our destiny,” he told JH.

Then SOPE picked their photocard prizes (with the faces down) from a staff member. First up was Suga and he picked J-Hope. “Is it our destiny?” he asked his unit partner, who laughed it off. (Watch the clip here).

When it was J-Hope’s turn, SOPE screamed when he picked Suga’s photocard. (Watch the clip here). J-Hope even said that he got chills. With their friendship (or destiny) written in the cards, Big Hit editors were left with no choice but to add the caption “SOPE is true.”

Of course, Suga was extremely happy with the outcome. He even said that he would put J-Hope’s photocard in his wallet. (Check out the photo here). And when the BTS rapper saw Jimin passed by, he proudly told him that he and J-Hope picked each other’s photocards. “I said we’re destiny if you pick me and he got me,” he said.

One ARMY then noticed that their outfits during “MAP OF THE SONG : 7” were the same during BangBangCon back in April. If this is the case, then Suga has been carrying a photocard of his “destiny” J-Hope for two months now.
