BTS dropped “Map of the Song : 7” on June 10 and it’s something that ARMYs didn't expect. Fans were already anticipating tears, thinking that the boys would be uploading a video of their journey from 2013 to 2020. But what ARMYs got were tears of laughter from the chaotic Karaoke challenge of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
The members were split into three units: first is the Maknae Line consists of Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The second is RM and Jin. And the last one is Suga and J-Hope. The BTS boys were aiming to win the grand prize which is a pair of custom Galaxy earbuds.
After the maknae line performed V’s “Winter Bear,” Rap Line’s “UGH,” and J-Hope’s “Outro: EGO,” they went outside the Karaoke booth to pick their prizes. Jimin got a Bluetooth mic, Jungkook got a photocard, and V claimed he got the custom Galaxy earbuds.
Since V quickly folded the paper that he picked from the lucky draw board, Jimin was skeptical that he was telling the truth. The “Filter” singer told his fellow 95-liner to unfold the paper and his lie was realized.
Jimin signaled the staff that V didn’t get the grand prize. The “Inner Child” singer eventually admitted that he got a keychain. V may have wanted those custom Galaxy earbuds so bad that he felt the need to lie just to get them.
After all the units performed and got their winnings, nobody picked the grand prize. The staff then decided to give the boys two more chances to draw. Jin may have not picked the custom Galaxy earbuds, but he was ecstatic to win a tambourine. Suga won the musical instrument as well.
Jimin got another merchandise and Jungkook complained that he kept getting the frame and photocard. While everyone else was in chaos about their picks, V was awfully quiet. He then showed his tickets to the camera, proving that he won a photocard and the grand prize for real this time.
All of the boys then gathered around V as he opened his purple custom Galaxy earbuds. It seems like V finally got what he wanted — or did he?
In the end, V gave his custom Galaxy earbuds to J-Hope. When Jimin asked why he gave away his prize, V claimed that he doesn’t use earphones that much. However, one ARMY posted photos of V wearing earphones and it looks like V is caught in another lie.
