Prince Philip is no longer active as a public servant but when he was still doing royal engagements with Queen Elizabeth, he charmed "crowds of women" and was regarded as a "people person." According to the Queen's former press secretary, Dickie Arbiter, Prince Philip was a terrific public servant.

Speaking with 9 Honey, Arbiter recalled that there was always "raucous laughter" whenever Prince Philip was with a crowd. Women were always drawn to the Duke of Edinburgh because he would spend time to indulge a joke with them.

But children were also drawn to the Duke of Edinburgh during his royal engagements. Arbiter said that Prince Philip would make the extra effort to involve the children and bring them over to Queen Elizabeth.

This is a testament to Prince Philip as a "people person" and many were apparently sad that he had to retire from public life in 2017, at the age of 95. Arbiter said that the people really miss seeing the Duke of Edinburgh accompany the Queen during their royal engagements because he was fun to be around.

However, there was one instance when Queen Elizabeth had to tell off her husband for his playful jokes. According to an insider, the Queen didn't like that Prince Philip hid one of her dogs inside the cupboard while they were hosting guests at Buckingham Palace.

The prank backfired on the Duke of Edinburgh as the Queen castigated her husband before leaving the room. But ever the humorous person, Prince Philip apparently said, "Who does she think she is?" in front of the guests and drew more laughter.

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are currently staying in isolation at Windsor Castle. They have been in lockdown at this estate since mid-March and will likely stay in isolation until the end of summer, pending government directives.

Royal experts said that this is probably the longest time Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have been together under one roof in years.  This coronavirus lockdown has been a chance for the royals to reconnect since it's been a long time since Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip spent time together due to their different royal duties.

In a way, it's been a nice chance for the monarch to be with her husband as, normally at this time of the year, the Queen is involved with a lot of activities at Buckingham Palace.
