Rising Bundesliga star Kai Havertz is hot on the sight of top Premier League clubs with Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea reportedly racing to win the signature of the German playmaker. If the choice for Havertz will boil down to two, the 21-year-old was advised to make his pick wisely and go for the Blues.

Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann called on his younger compatriot to pick out the best fit for him should he make the jump to England next transfer window. And according to Hamann, who starred with a number of English clubs during his playing days, the best option available right now for the youngster is Stamford Bridge.

The German said he sees Chelsea under Frank Lampard exploding in the years and this will be supported by the addition of new stars like Timo Werner, also coming in next season from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

"If I think about where I see the clubs now and in two or three years, the decision for Chelsea would be a relatively easy one for me as a player," Goal reported Hamann as saying.

He added that the situation at Old Trafford while encouraging lately is generally problematic. The side of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been dealing with "major internal problems," that Hamman said would affect the club.

The former player warned that United runs the risk of not qualifying for the Champions League again and it could lead to the club falling behind. Hamman said Havertz will surely not want his young career to be caught with the Red Devils that are still grappling to recover their old winning ways.

It will translate to a huge stall on Havertz's career path, the German said.

However, while Lampard has indicated willingness to spend his remaining hiring fund to sign the Bayer Leverkusen star, Metro said there is no solid assurance that the midfielder will wear blue next season.

As things stand now, Chelsea and Leverkusen are considered to be "miles apart" on a deal on Havertz.

The report added that as far as the German side is concerned, there is no rush to sell the playmaker who is only expected to further improve in the coming years. Leverkusen can boast of a robust financial standing that selling Havertz is the last thing on the club's mind.

And if the decision to sell must be made, the Bundesliga has many options like entertaining the inquiries from Real Madrid and United.

Likewise, it is understood that Leverkusen will not be flexible on Havertz' market value, which has been set between £54 and £90, and the German club is keen to get the highest possible worth that a transfer deal can deliver.
