Members of the royal family are now back to in-person engagements more than three months since the coronavirus lockdown. Prince Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne went to separate meets on June 16 to carry out their official work as public servants.

The Prince of Wales made a surprise visit to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to talk to 20 key personnel and to personally thank them for their work during this public health crisis. Prince Charles was with his wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and both observed social distancing when they made their morning visit to the staff.

Prince William was at the Kings Lynn Ambulance Station to also thank the staff and learn of their experiences in this coronavirus crisis. The Duke of Cambridge said that he is still learning to fight the urge to shake hands with the people he meets to prevent contracting the virus.

The second in line to the throne also said that he's been eager to return to the pub and have a pint of beer. He said that he's looking forward to sharing a drink or two with the frontliners when hanging out in pubs is no longer prohibited in the U.K.

Princess Anne, on the other hand, went to the Duke of Gloucester Barracks to visit workers helping patients with COVID-19. Though the Princess Royal is of the vulnerable age, it hasn't stop her from working and resuming in-person activities. Her calendar for the rest of June is actually filled with engagements.

The royals, however, are observing a lot of precautions as they return to their normal schedule. Apart from doing away with the handshakes, the royals and their staff have been observing social distancing.

As much as possible, royal engagements are also taking place outdoors to further prevent the risks of virus spread. Meanwhile, the royal family could continue with their video conference engagements since in-person visits will still be limited.

The Queen, however, will not be expected to have in-person engagements in the foreseeable future. Though doctors have said that she's in good health and continues to be negative for the virus, she and Prince Philip will remain in isolation at Windsor Castle to protect their health.

Sources, however, said that Queen Elizabeth is still carrying out her daily duties as the monarch. She still receives her red box of updates from the government and her organizations every day.
