Elon Musk has been in cloud nine for the past couple of weeks. He welcomed his first child with Canadian musician Grimes and then a couple of weeks later, his SpaceX team up with NASA successfully sent two astronauts to the International Space Station. But now, his name has dragged in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's court case.
In the leaked legal deposition of the $50 million defamation suit that Depp filed against Heard last year, it emerged that Heard had an alleged three-way affair with Musk and Cara Delevingne. Depp filed a defamation suit against his ex-wife after she wrote a Washington Post op-ed describing her experience as the victim of domestic violence.
Josh Drew, the ex-husband of Raquel "Rocky" Pennington who is Heard's best friend, revealed in the deposition that his ex-wife told him that Amber had an affair with Cara and Musk while she was still married to Depp. The tech billionaire, allegedly, slept with the two actresses at Depp's Los Angeles penthouse in late 2016, just months after Heard filed for divorce from Depp.
Musk released a statement in which he denied his alleged secret three-way relationship with Heard and Delevingne. The Tesla CEO admitted that he and Delevingne are friends but they have never been in an intimate relationship.
He added that he and Heard started dating about a month after the actress filed for divorce. Musk stressed that he never had a romantic relationship with The Rum Diary actress during their respective marriages. Then the 48-year-old billionaire offered advice to Depp and Heard to just bury the hatchet and move on.
Musk was previously accused of having an affair with Heard in 2015 while Depp was away filming. The SpaceX founder, however, also denied the allegations at the time.
Heard filed for divorce from Depp on May 23, 2016, and it was finalized eight months later. She stated in her court declaration that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor had been "verbally and physically abusive" throughout their relationship. The actress also filed for a temporary restraining order against Depp.
Musk, on the other hand, was previously married to Westworld actress Talulah Riley. Their first marriage in 2010 lasted for two years.
They got remarried in 2013 but Musk filed for a second divorce in December 2014 but it was later on withdrawn. Then Riley filed for divorce in early 2016 and their divorce was finalized in late 2016.
