Ever wonder how Kate Middleton's dresses, when she's doing royal engagements abroad, is free of any wrinkles and crumples? There's a royal hack to this so that the Duchess of Cambridge can still look pristine in public.

Apparently, Kate doesn't cram all of her clothes in her luggage when she's traveling. Because the royal family can afford to use a private plane, she has enough space aboard the aircraft to lay out her clothes so these do not get crumpled.

According to Emily Andrews, who have traveled with the Duchess of Cambridge, there's a special row on the planespecifically for Kate's dresses. Her stylist, Natasha Archer, carefully lays out her clothes on this row, but only if the plane isn't pack or full of other people.

But if Kate is flying a commercial flight, she can't lay out or hung her clothes or be picky about her stuff. So, her stylist is also careful about picking the fabrics for Kate's dresses when she's traveling, according Scott Henshall, who used to work as Mulberry's creative director.

The royal knows what clothes are less likely to wrinkle, so those are the ones packed for her when she's on a royal trip. Usually, Kate brings a lot of clothes made from polyester, acrylic and nylon fabric because these are naturally resistant to wrinkles. These are also more absorbent, thus easier to wash and clean.

The royals also have their own monogrammed luggage with color-coded tags so that it's easier to haul from the baggage claim. Apparently, Kate's luggage tags are all in yellow and her suitcases have a monogrammed "C" for Catherine, which can be easily identified. Prince William's luggage tags are red and his suitcases have a monogrammed "W." Prince George's bags are coded baby blue.

Now, if the royals have to get out of the plane wearing a dress, the wind could easily blow up whatever they are wearing and cause a wardrobe malfunction. So, Kate, as well as Meghan Markle and the rest of the female members of the royal family, put on body suits underneath their clothes to reduce the static of the fabric. These body suits don't feel heavy and fits snuggly and better than an undergarment.

Meanwhile, Kate and the rest of the members of the royal family won't be traveling for a while due to the coronavirus restrictions. The royals are resigned to engagements locally until there's a safer way to travel.
