However, amid these speculations about this underlying conditions, Prince Charles said he was lucky to experience just minor symptoms of the coronavirus in late March. Prince William said that they worried for his dad because he commonly does have respiratory issues, such as the minor colds and sniffles, but he surprisingly only had coronavirus symptoms for a week.
Someone his age is statistically vulnerable to COVID-19, according to the World Health Organization. If he had underlying conditions, coronavirus would also make his recovery harder but Prince Charles was indeed lucky to have no hospitalization.
The Prince of Wales, however, said that coronavirus has taken his sense of smell and taste, which many patients have also complained about. Prince Charles said he still continues to experience this symptom months after his recovery from the dreaded disease.
