Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are, allegedly, fighting because the actress is set to work with Alexander Skarsgård again. A tabloid made a new rumor about the couple and once again, it involved a co-star.
New Idea published a story this week claiming that the couple is now feuding over Kidman and Skarsgård reunion in the movie The Northman. The tabloid claimed instead of celebrating their upcoming 14th wedding anniversary on June 25, the couple is in a tense battle over Kidman's reunion project with the Swedish actor. It added that the Bombshell actress is determined to continue filming the movie once the lockdown is lifted.
In April, the production of The Northman was shut down indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. The movie was supposed to start filming in mid-April.
New Idea also brought up the kiss Kidman gave Skarsgård at the 2017 Emmy Awards. It alleged that Urban can't believe that nobody thinks there's a problem with that kiss because he was disturbed seeing his wife kissing somebody else at a hall packed with other celebrities. A source of the tabloid claimed Alex's flirting with Nicole is also getting into Keith's nerves.
The Northman is the second project where both Kidman and Skarsgård will play major roles. They previously worked together in the HBO critically acclaimed series Big Little Lies, where they portrayed the role of husband and wife.
A source of the tabloid claimed Kidman assured her real-life husband, Keith Urban, that he doesn't have to worry about Skarsgård as there is nothing going on between her and the actor other than a great chemistry on-screen. Nicole also, allegedly, assured Keith that she will not behave inappropriately towards Alex again.
The Northman is a Viking revenge saga. It is set in Iceland at the turn of the 10th century. It follows the life of a Nordic prince who is set out on a mission of revenge after his father is murdered.
Early reports indicate that Alexander and Nicole will not play a couple in the movie. Instead, they will portray roles that are related to each other.
The True Blood actor will, reportedly, play the role of the prince while Kidman is likely to portray the role of the mother of the prince. Aside from the Aquaman actress and Skarsgård, The Northman will also star Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, and Alex's brother, Bill Skarsgård.
Gossip Cop reached out to Kidman's spokesperson, who assured that New Idea's claims are all false. The outlet also noted that it is true Kidman kissed Skarsgård at the 2017 Emmy Awards, but New Idea failed to mention that Nicole kissed Urban too at the time.
Gossip Cop also dismissed New Idea's claim that Keith hasn't posted a new photo of his wife since Valentine's Day. The truth is the country singer has just shared a snap of Kidman on her 53rd birthday on June 20.
