The iconic sitcom Friends ended 16 years ago but to the cast members, the memories of their happy times together remain. Cast members Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow had a chance to talk about their time in the show and it got a little bit emotional.

The two remotely chatted with each other for the Variety's Actors on Actors series. Aniston and Kudrow talked about their recent shows, The Morning Show and Space Force, respectively but they also brought back some memories of their Friends days.

Aniston asked Kudrow about which she preferred best: producing her show or joining an already formed family as a guest star. The Comeback actress opened her hearts out to her close pal and confessed that she did not accept a lead role after Friends because she hasn't moved on from their show.

Lisa explained that she accepted guest appearances for a while because, after Friends, she has had a commitment issue. Kudrow told Aniston that she turned down lead role offers in an ensemble like Friends because of her attachment to their show.

She added that the love and commitment among the cast members were the key that why Friends reached its peak. Kudrow admitted that when it ended, part of her died as well.

Kudrow, however, added that she started to produce her own project, things changed. Lisa said she started to feel secure again.

Then the two started laughing when they talked about their bloopers while filming particularly on Kudrow's character Phoebe's singing scene in which she sounded like bagpipes. But then Aniston asked Lisa about her favorite episodes of Friends.

The Feel Good actress admitted that she hasn't watched their show because she is still hoping that one day all of them will gather around and watch the episodes together. The two then expressed hope to start filming the Friends reunion special.

Aniston and Kudrow confirmed that they will not be playing their respective characters in the planned HBO Max's Friends reunion special. The two said they can't wait to film the reunion and see each other again.

The Friends reunion was originally set to premiere on the launch of HBO Max on May 27. However, the coronavirus pandemic delayed its production as well as its release date.

WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer chairman Bob Greenblatt announced last month that they are hoping to start the camera rolling for all six cast members of the series by the end of summer. Greenblatt hinted that they still want to do a live audience and a six-way web chat among its stars would be their last option.
