Details about Stranger Things season 4 remain scarce at the moment. Filming for the new installment was halted due to the current global health crisis, and it looks like we won't be seeing something in production anytime soon. But despite that, it's clear that scripts are already done.

In a recent Twitter post, the official writers' room of the series hinted that everything was set for the story of the latest installment. The post features a photo of an enormous stack of paper, which is the complete script of Stranger Things season 4.

But then, it didn't reveal further details as to what's coming next. The series generally has secretive crews, so it's unlikely we'll be seeing a lot of details in the coming weeks and months. There isn't an official release date at the moment, but many were hoping Stranger Things season 4 will arrive in 2021.

The series requires a long time to make, even before the real-life health crisis hits the globe. For now, viewers have to wait for more details regarding the new installment. It also remains to be seen whether or not the fourth season will be the final chapter.

Meanwhile, series star David Harbour teased that the latest installment will have big reveals about Jim Hopper's past. Speaking to Deadline, the actor confirmed that we're going to see some of the deep backstories of his character and people would see deep colors in him.

The actor explained that Hopper has shown different sides each season, and in Stranger Things season 4, he's painted in a "bit darker palette." Moving forward, he'll express some of the deep things that were already hinted in the second season.

But while Hopper's past will be a highlight in the fourth installment, Harbour also teased other interesting stories including "monsters and horror, and scares". In addition, we're going to see some Indiana Jones-type action, which is exciting.

Also, the actor noted production was underway for a couple of weeks prior to the global health crisis. Right now, filming is on hiatus and no one knows what the future holds. Harbour revealed that they want to get up and start working as soon as possible.

However, everything depends on the current situation. Cast and work won't be able to resume filming Stranger Things season 4 unless the situation gets a little bit better. For now, the top priority is the health and safety of everyone on set.
