Park Go Gum's enlistment date has been confirmed by his agency and he will be reporting for mandatory service on August 31.
According to a report by Soompi, Park Bo Gum's agency, Blossom Entertainment, has confirmed that the actor will be enlisting in the military on August 31.
Based on the agency's announcement, Park Bo Gum will be fulfilling his role as a cultural promotion soldier of the Navy for the duration of his mandatory service.They assured fans that the actor will not be leaving their side without leaving them with good projects until his return.
Park Bo Gum will be completing two more projects in addition to a previously completed film before his August enlistment.
He will be working on a film project entitled Wonderland along with veteran actor Gong Yoo, Parasite actor Choi Woo Shik, Suzy Bae, Tang Wei, and Jung Yoo Mi.
The much-anticipated sci-fi film revolves around the intersecting stories of a woman (Suzy) whose boyfriend (Park Bo Gum) is in a coma and a man (Gong Yoo) who is mourning the death of his wife (Tang Wei). Both characters seek solace from an artificial reality experience called Wonderland.
According to a report by All Kpop, Choi Woo Shik and Jung Yoo Mi will take on the role of engineers who are running the artificial world.
Park Bo Gum is also expected to star alongside another Parasite actor, Park So Dam, for the tVn drama Record of Youth. The series is expected to revolve around characters who are trying to become successful in the entertainment world.
Park Bo Gum plays the role of Sa Hye Joon, an optimistic young man who tries to become a popular actor and model.Park So Dam will play the role of makeup artist Ahn Jung Ha, a hardworking woman who struggles to overcome her insecurities and become successful through her strength.They will be joined by Byun Woo Seok, who plays the role of a son from a rich family who wants to become successful because of his skills and not because of his family's wealth.
Apart from the two projects, Park Bo Gum was also able to complete the film Seo Bok which will be released this year. Seo Bok is the first collaboration with Gong Yoo wherein they will star as the first human clone and a former intelligence agent who helps protect him against those who are hunting him.
