The Warriors will get to pick in the Top 3 of the 2020 Draft and one familiar name that the former NBA champs can consider is LaMelo Ball. While Golden State has shown no indication of drafting the second Ball to hit the NBA, the Ball patriarch, LaVar, has expressed reservation that the arrangement will not work.

According to the elder Ball, he could not imagine the sight of his son in the Warriors but not playing a significant role. That's because the Dubs already has Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson as the main men, and to be sure LaMelo Ball will be restricted to a supporting act.

LaVar Ball said it's not a pretty sight for him, and per the report from Clutch Points.

"They got Klay and the other guys, and now you want to put Melo in that mix to say you got to follow these guys. Melo ain't no follower. He don't need to do what they do, let them do they thing," the outspoken Ball was reported as saying.

While the Warriors have yet to provide the clue on who to pick this coming October, the Ball patriarch must have picked up the recent assessment offered by NBA insiders on LaMelo Ball.

The same report said the incoming Ball is tipped to be the No. 1 pick in the draft and if the Warriors get the chance, it would be wise of them to grab the brother of Lonzo Ball, who was the Lakers top pick a few years back.

LaMelo Ball is tipped to excel in the league playing the point man and pundits said both his size and vision will make for an effective role on the point guard position. It's unclear, however, if hiring somebody like the younger Ball is a priority for GSW coach Steve Kerr.

Kerr already has a dependable name on that post and unless LaMelo can prove he is better than Curry in more aspects then the Warriors coach might just take a second hard look.

In any case, Bleacher Report said Golden State doing business with a Ball, and with the father looming over, should be farthest from the mind of the organization. The likelier scenario for the Warriors is to hire a talent that will best fit the team's most pressing needs.

Reports said the Dubs are high on getting Tyrese Halliburton from the draft and the interest makes. The Iowa State shooting guard is prized for his shooting skills and perceived leadership on the court, qualities not yet seen with LaMelo Ball. So it's safe to assume the NCAA star is the better fit as far as the Warriors are concerned.
