Kate Middleton's ability to take beautiful portraits with her camera has apparently killed the paparazzi market. Because of her shots of the British royal family, which has been shared on their social media accounts quite often in these last few months, the public is getting a more intimate glimpse of their lives so there's a lesser need for newspapers to buy royal photos from the paparazzi.

According to royal expert Camilla Tominey, Kate's portraits are the better "crystal clear, Instagram-style shots" than the paparazzi's grainy images of the royals during their private time. The Duchess of Cambridge is apparently becoming the "leading chronicler of modern royal life."

Kate's beautiful and candid Father's Day photo of Prince William putting his arm around his father Prince Charles received a lot of positive comments on social media. Her captures of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for their birthday milestones were also quite well-received and the photo of Prince William messing around with his kids received millions of responses as well.

Tominey said that it looks like Kate is taking a leaf from the pages of Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria's life on how to deal with the paparazzi. Victoria also took private photos of her children to share to the public.

It comes as Kate's increasing role in the royal family has been in the spotlight in recent months as talks of the Queen stepping down, because of coronavirus threats, have resurfaced. The Duchess of Cambridge is, reportedly, relishing in her added roles as it will solidify her future status when her husband becomes the king.

Royal biographer Penny Juror told People that Kate is learning to find her place in the monarchy. Just like Prince Philip, she never tries to outshine Prince William but she could still stand on her own as an inspiration and role model

A source said that Kate tries to step up but she still does her role as Prince William's formidable partner. She has her own projects but she knows her biggest role is to support her husband.

Like Prince Philip, Kate understands that her real job is to be the supportive spouse to the future monarch who will one day serve the Crown and its Commonwealth countries. This was the advice that Queen Elizabeth's father gave to Prince Philip early in their marriage. King George VI apparently told his son-in-law that supporting Queen Elizabeth is his actual job.
