Brad Pitt and George Clooney reportedly have their eyes on one actress lately: Julia Roberts. A tabloid claimed both actors would want to work with Roberts again and they are in a race on who first gets her "yes."
According to New Idea, Pitt and Clooney are feuding over Roberts as both of them are hoping to work with the Pretty Woman actress again. The tabloid alleged that the respective production companies of Brad and George intend to revive the movie industry with the release of big-budgeted films and the actors have been competing on signing up the biggest Hollywood stars such as Roberts.
New Idea suggested that Roberts has been caught in the middle of warring actors. The source claimed the Erin Brockovich actress initially felt flattered for the attention that Brad and George have been giving her.
But it quickly turned to annoyance when the constant phone calls, text messages, and invitations to cozy dinners-for-two started. The source claimed Julia now feels like she is being courted by a lover.
A source of the tabloid added Pitt and Clooney had a falling out recently and it wasn't just rivalry on screen. The tension between the Ocean Eleven actor, allegedly, began when the latter left out his best friend off his wedding guest list because Amal Clooney hated Pitt's ex-wife, Angelina Jolie. It added that both Amal and Angelina have suspicions that the actors have been harboring secret crushes on Julia.
Gossip Cop explained how absurd the New Idea story. First of all, Roberts doesn't have to feel stressed out if ever it's true that both Brad and George have been offering her separate projects. The publication pointed out that the Eat Pray Love actress could accept both offers if she wants to.
Secondly, the Burn After Reading actors are not feuding at all. Pitt himself confirmed that he and Clooney are still friends.
During an interview after he won the Best Supporting Actor at the SAG Awards this year, People TV mentioned that he and George had been "friends in the past." Pitt immediately clarified the statement and said he and the Gravity actor are still friends and they have been for a while. He added that Clooney would probably send him white flowers to congratulate him on his new achievement.
Finally, Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to Pitt to find some answer to the new rumor about one of Hollywood's most famous bromances. The source confirmed that there was no truth about the rumor that the two were in conflict because of Roberts.
So far, both actors worked on the same number of movies that also starred Roberts. The actress was with both Pitt and Clooney in Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve.
She also appeared with Pitt in the 2001 adventure comedy film The Mexican and they reunited in 2002 Full Frontal. As for Clooney, Julia first worked with Clooney on his directorial debut movie, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, in 2002. They were seen back on the big screen in Jodie Foster's thriller film Money Monster.
