There is little doubt that Kihyun of MONSTA X is a man of his word. After promising to personally pay for the coffee that will be purchased for their staff and losing the bet to be the one to go out and get the order, Yoo Kihyun finally set off to take on his huge task. However, things weren't going to be so easy for the main vocalist as he arrived at the coffee shop. For some reason, the shop owner didn't believe that Kihyun was a celebrity!
The seventh episode of MONSTA X Is Now On Vacation opens with the boys sleeping peacefully after a truly leisurely evening. As usual, Kihyun is the first to awaken. However, there is another reason why Yoo Kihyun is up so early. After all, he had promised to pay and deliver the coffee for all 60 members of their staff who have come along with them.
The first thing that Kihyun does when he wakes up is to call a coffee shop with his order. When the shop owner is surprised why he is making an advance order, Yoo Kihyun explained that he wants to buy 70 cups of coffee. The shop owner agrees to make 40 Americanos and 30 vanilla lattes for the main vocalist. The MONSTA X member then prepared to leave their cabin to get the coffee from the coffee shop.
Interestingly, the shop owner didn't seem to trust Kihyun. She later called him again as he was on his way to ask where he was. Yoo Kihyun's driver commented that the shop owner was probably worried that he would be a no-show despite having such a large order. Luckily, it didn't take long before the idol arrived at the coffee shop.
Not surprisingly, the 70 cups of coffee were not yet ready by the time that Kihyun arrived at the coffee shop. Nevertheless, Yoo Kihyun waited patiently as the shop owner and two members of her staff prepared their coffee. This is when the shop owner dropped a surprising comment.
The shop owner looked at Kihyun and said that she was disappointed that they had only sent the cameramen to take the order. Yoo Kihyun was surprised by the comment but didn't say anything as he paid for the coffee and went back to the cabin to deliver the treat to the staff.
Interestingly, Kihyun couldn't get the shop owner's comment out of his head. In the eighth episode of MONSTA X Is Now On Vacation, he told the other members about what happened and they all laughed about it. Mihyuk commented that Yoo Kihyun should have put on some makeup so that the shop owner would recognize him. However, Kihyun pointed out that there wouldn't be a point in doing so since he was wearing a mask.
