There is little doubt that MONSTA X is truly enjoying their holiday. After all, they were able to enjoy an expensive barbeque dinner in the fifth episode of MONSTA X Is Now On Vacation after they completed a difficult relay game. However, reality has set in in Episode 6 as the boy group tries to avoid cleaning up after their feast. In an effort to get away from doing the chore, the idols ended up doing a foot volleyball rematch with their staff and Kihyun somehow managed to once again prove that he is the resident young flexer.
In the fifth episode of MONSTA X Is Now On Vacation, the boy group managed to win an expensive barbeque dinner being offered by the staff, who had to prepare the feast for them. Shownu, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M. even got to enjoy some alcoholic drinks while Minhyuk chose to drink soda. After the great meal, the members were eager to just relax but the staff told them they would need to clean up their table. In line with that, the idols suggested that they should play a game of foot volleyball with the staff and the loser would need to do the cleaning up.
In Episode 6, MONSTA X quickly chose their best foot volleyball players which were Minhyuk, Hyungwon, and Joohoney. Interestingly, this isn't the first time that the idols had to play against their own staff to avoid punishment. The same thing had happened in their variety show MONSTA X Ray Season 2 but the members were defeated. Will they finally get to win over the staff this year?
At first, it looked like MONSTA X was going to succeed at avoiding the chores. Minhyuk, Hyungwon, and Joohoney were able to easily beat the staff in the first match but the opposing players caught up in the second match. This meant that the third match would decide the victor and neither team was ready to give up. At one point, the idols decided to replace Hyungwon with Changkyun since the former seemed tipsy from drinking. Unfortunately, MONSTA X still ended up losing to the staff yet again.
Interestingly, Minhyuk then suggested that the idols would make another bet, this time for one of them to buy the staff coffee for the next day. Although it was supposed to be a bet for MONSTA X, Kihyun was quick to volunteer that he would pay for the coffee that would be delivered to 60 staff members that would add up to about 150,000 won. But who will go out to buy the coffee early in the morning?
This was decided by yet another foot volleyball match that pit Minhyuk, Joohoney, and I.M. against Shownu, Kihyun, and Hyungwon. Since Son Hyungwoo and Yoo Kihyun were not good at the game, their team was easily defeated and. At this point, MONSTA X decided to let their toy dancing llama decide who will leave to buy the coffee and in the end, it was Kihyun who lost to his teammates.
