There is little doubt that The Mandalorian was truly unique in the Star Wars Universe. In addition to introducing interesting new characters with unexpected ties to the original Star Wars trilogy, the series also had a riveting story and a distinct look and sound. For the sound part, fans can thank Ludwig Goransson who composed the show's main theme. Now the theme of The Mandalorian has its own impressive music video.

The music video for The Mandalorian main theme was shared by Vanity Fair and it features the theme being played across locations all over the series. Ludwig Goransson also explained how he composed the theme with the main character in mind.

"You're following this character throughout the show, and he wears a helmet, so he doesn't have any facial expressions," Goransson said. "I'm the facial expression. The music is the facial expression, telling how he feels going through this journey."

In addition to the main theme, Ludwig Goransson also composed the theme for Baby Yoda. Not surprisingly, the composer made sure to incorporate some of the show's theme to the Child's own theme to signify the connection the child has with the main character.

"It's definitely in the instrumentation and the baby's theme that we gave him in the first season, which is kind of the first hint of pure human emotion that we play for Mandalorian," Goransson said. "It's electric guitars, actually, playing the broken children's tune that comes up kind of sad."

In the first season of The Mandalorian, the lead character was sent on a mission to collect a "target" which turned out to be Baby Yoda. However, instead of surrendering the Child to the Client, Din Djarin decided to rescue Baby Yoda. This decision led to Djarin being considered as the Child's family and in the final episode, he is ordered to return Baby Yoda to his people. However, if they cannot be found, Djarin would have to consider the Child as part of his own two-man clan.

For now, fans can rest assured that Ludwig Goransson will continue working on the score for The Mandalorian Season 2. Although it is unclear what will happen to Din Djarin and Baby Yoda, there is little doubt that they will be in for more adventures.

The Mandalorian Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is already expected to return on Disney+ by October this year.
