New Orleans star Lonzo Ball shared an update on his teammate, Zion Williamson, this week. It appeared the 20-year-old rookie took advantage of the long break to shape up and Lonzo said Williamson is stronger than ever, which is good news for Pelicans supporters.

However, Williamson in top-form heading to the Orlando bubble games this July is bad news for the rival teams. As Ball attested, the already hulk-built youngster did not stop working when the games were suspended in mid-March.

It turned out that the Pelicans rising star has weights and a hoop in his New Orleans house and he put them into good use, according to Clutch Points.

Williamson sweated it out to work on his game and he gained further strength by bulking up. Lonzo revealed that his teammate has become heftier and stronger, which could mean that the 2019 No. 1 pick will be even more fearsome when Pelicans try to secure a spot in the playoffs during the bubble games.

Truth be told, foes have reason to be wary of how good Williamson is turning out. The youngster the season injured but when he finally debuted, he proved that he's not only about hype.

Williamson shot nearly 24 points per game with an accuracy of 58.9%. He certainly is a behemoth on the floor and the Pelicans picked up more wins with Williamson in the thick of the action.

According to ESPN, the rising star is flourishing in the league as evidenced by his shooting average that largely matches that of another hulking star - Shaquille O'Neal. The report said Williamson is well on his way to writing and shattering NBA records at the same time.

Already, the young man scored over 20 points in 13 consecutive games, which the NBA has already acknowledged as the longest streak for players under 20. As Williamson only turned 20 this week, he registered the record while he was 19.

Another milestone for the power forward is in his 19 games, he has knocked down 448 points. The effort brought him in league with Michael Jordan, whose first 19 games in 1984-85 produced 486 points.

There will more league records that Williamson is gunning to break and likely first on the list is becoming the Rookie of the Year. If he can play a maximum of 27 games in the season then that award with come with the distinction of winning the honor with the fewest games played.

Also, Williamson can shoot for the moon and try advancing deeper in the NBA season restart. For that to happen, however, the Pelicans star will need to work closely with his key teammates such as Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Jrue Holiday.
