Queen Elizabeth II reigning years started in 1952. She was only 25-years-old at that time when she ascended to the British Throne.

In her 68 years of reign, the current British Monarch has already traveled over 150 countries. It is not surprising, though, considering her status and position in the United Kingdom.

Through the years, several royal fans and experts have wondered what her handbag contains in each of her travels. As it happens, she always brings a notable handbag with her everywhere she goes.

In recent years, however, royal biographers and insiders have learned some of the most common items that Queen Elizabeth II always brings in her trips. Based on assertions, these include a compact mirror, lipstick, reading glasses, fountain pen, and mint lozenges.

But, there are, reportedly, a few items that have shocked a lot of people, according to Cheat Sheet. As stated, they are quite "bizarre" since there are only a few to none who bring such items in their travels and trips.

It is, reportedly, unusual that her handbag does not contain wallets, smartphones, or identification cards. While unusual, it is not that shocking since she does not need any of these things.

What came as a shock to royal fans and commentators are the portable hook and a pack of blood that Queen Elizabeth II, reportedly, carries in her handbag during her travels. As explained, these items may be strange but, they are handy and practical for the British Monarch.

Jean Willis, reportedly, told The Lady Magazine in 2012 that she witnessed how the Queen removed a "white suction cup" from her handbag. She "discreetly spit into it," the source said.

Afterward, she, reportedly, attached the suction cup to the underside of the table. The cup had a hook, and this was where she placed her handbag, Willis explained, according to the Daily Express.

The same publication revealed that the health of Queen Elizabeth II is of "utmost importance." This is why when she travels, she always brings a pack of blood with her.

If it is not in her handbag, a convoy following them has it, along with the British Monarch's doctor. As asserted, this is in case of emergencies without her health "being jeopardized."

In the same reports, it is added that the Queen also always has a portable camera with her. It is repeatedly noted that she likes to take photographs, especially during her trips and travels outside the United Kingdom.
