Kanye West shocked the world when he announced that he will run for president in the upcoming elections in November. He may be committed about it but many of her fellow celebrities don't take it seriously and mocked the rapper's plan to go up against Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Kanye made the announcement on July 4th and it elicited a range of reactions. However, only few, two in particular, were enthusiastic about the rapper's presidential bid. It's Kanye West's wife, Kim Kardashian, and TESLA CEO Elon Musk.

The KKW Beauty creator retweeted her husband's post along with an American flag emoji. Musk, on the other hand, directly expressed his full support to his friend.

But in general, Kanye's announcement received hilarious comments from both ordinary Americans and his fellow celebrities. Several stars took to social media to either express their dismay to the "Famous" rapper or poked fun of his plan to run for president. Some joke about running themselves since West can do it.

Black-ish actor Anthony Anderson, who is guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!, talked about the "historic" significance if even Kanye becomes the next POTUS. He jokingly said America has had a black president but never had a crazy black president.

Fuller House actor Bob Saget wondered if he should run for president as well. Then he posted a campaign poster along with his co-star John Stamos.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane said a time traveler must be messing with the Earth's timeline while comedian Billy Eichner said he would also be running for president but in the Screen Actors Guild. Tiffany Haddish also hilariously declared that she's launching her presidential campaign and picked Dave Chappelle to be her running mate.

Even Kim Kardashian's friend, Paris Hilton, seemed to have poked fun of Kanye's announcement. The socialite shared a video of herself dancing around in various outfits as part of her own presidential campaign along with the hashtag #ParisForPresident.

Other celebrities who also either laugh or beg to Jesus Is King singer that White House is not his cup of tea were Octavia Spencer and TV personalities Piers Morgan and Meghan McCain.

Meanwhile, this wasn't the first time that West proclaimed his intentions to one day become the president of the United States. It could be recalled that he first hinted it at his speech during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

At the time, Trump called him a "nice guy" and said he hoped to run against the rapper one day. Since then, Kanye West publicly expressed his support for Trump on several occasions, and even wore POTUS's MAGA hat when he visited the president at the White House.
