There are a lot of questions that needed to be answered when For Life season 2 premieres on ABC. Throughout the first season, the story revolved around whether or not Aaron Wallace will get out of prison. It looks like there could be an answer to that question when the second installment arrives.

In For Life season 2, Aaron will continue to find his way out behind bars. It's yet to be seen how he could figure that out, but this though be one of the key points of the story. But aside from helping himself, he'll also continue helping those who are still in prison, as well as deal with the issues in the real world.

The second installment could feature stories about what's happening in the real world at the moment. While the series has already tackled police reform and racial justice, it could take on these again to make the story more relatable to many.

In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Hank Steinberg explained why it's important for Aaron to get out of prison in For Life season 2. He revealed that they intend to get the character out of prison and explore what it's like for him to reclaim his family. He'll also try to establish himself in society.

That would be the best way for them to tackle some important issues, especially the rapture from the BLM explosion. Steinberg said it would be much better dramatically to tackle such as that from outside the prison. Yet, viewers may need to wait for a little while in order to see that happen.

While For Life season 2 has been officially renewed, the series is still facing several uncertainties -- including the release date. It may not be coming back anytime soon, considering the current global health crisis. Filming won't likely start unless the situation gets a little bit better.

In addition, the second installment is not also included in the fall schedule of ABC. It looks like it may take some time for viewers to see the legal drama returning to the small screen. The top priorities now remain to be the health and safety of everyone on set.

Meanwhile, the returning cast in For Life season 2 includes Nicholas Pinnock as Aaron Wallace, Indira Varma as Safiya Masry, Joy Bryant as Marie Wallace, Mary Stuart Masterson as Anya Harrison, Dorian Crossmond Missick as Jamal Bishop, Tyla Harris as Jasmine Wallace, Glenn Fleshler as Frank Foster, Boris McGiver as Glen Maskins, and Timothy Busfield as Henry Roswell.
