For Life episode 13 is coming next week on ABC, with the title "Fathers." This is an important episode as this would be the last one for the Nicholas Pinnock-led series. The biggest question entering this episode is whether or not Aaron Wallace can clear his name and get out of prison.
The entire season has seen the character fighting for his freedom and trying to prove his innocence. Now, For Life episode 13 may further bring more drama and emotional moments, as Aaron's retrial has finally arrived. There could be twists and turns here, and some tension may build as well.
The episode title also hints what would be the central theme of the season finale, possibly about literal fathers or a father figure. In the synopsis, Maskins and Cyrus Hunt are trying to thwart Aaron's retrial, so the latter has been forced to make a desperate move, but risked the wrath of a powerful new adversary.
For Life episode 13 also sees Safiya trying to warn Aaron he's now a marked man. It remains to be seen whether or not Aaron will be a free man before the season ends, as it's apparent that there are a lot of people who are desperate to ruin him.
The promo also features some big moments for Aaron's life and retrial. He fights for his freedom, yet he recognized that it wouldn't be easy at all. While he's doing everything he can to prove to everyone he's innocent, some will also try to do their best to make him guilty.
Right now, ABC hasn't yet officially revealed the renewal status of the series. Despite that, there's a lot of things worth exploring here -- so the show may likely be renewed rather than being canceled. More stories are needed to be addressed and the finale may set up new events moving forward.
When it comes to ratings, For Life isn't, reportedly, a big performer in live numbers. But then, the show performs well in DVR viewership. The network may likely consider this factor to continue the series and deliver more stories in the future.
