The Bold Type season 4 finale is coming this week on Freeform, with the title "Not Far from the Tree." Things could go dramatic here given that this is the last episode this season. Kat faces some complications in her relationship, while Jane could have major changes in her career.
In The Bold Type season 4 finale, Jane encounters the major break in her career so far. She found a big story, but it could lead to some ramifications for Jacqueline. What's complicated here is that this woman has told her that she is the future of Scarlet.
This is a big boost to Jane's career, but doing that means bad things could happen to Jacqueline. She has to make a wise decision, as her actions could have big consequences later on. Their relationship could possibly be tainted if she pursues taking on this story.
Meanwhile, Kat isn't quite sure if she'll share the news about her new romance with Jane and Sutton. And as for Sutton, she will be visiting her hometown. However, she falls into a familiar pattern while she was there. These are just some of the stories we can expect in the finale episode of the season.
It remains to be seen whether or not there'll be a huge cliffhanger. The episode wasn't meant to be the original The Bold Type season 4 finale. Filming was forced to shut down due to the current health crisis, cutting the series short this season.
Freeform goes in a different direction because of the real-life health crisis happening around the globe. Reportedly, the series has 18 episodes in total, but that wasn't followed since filming was halted. There are two more episodes left, though it remains to be seen whether they'll be released later on.
The series wasn't yet renewed for a fifth installment at the moment. And even though it will be renewed, it will not be airing anytime soon. Cast and crew won't be able to start working immediately, as everything all depends on the situation.
