Katy Perry is a few more weeks before she and fiancé Orlando Bloom welcome their first child together. But reports indicated that Perry already decided on who will be the godmother of her unborn baby and that is Jennifer Aniston.

According to the Daily Mirror, Perry and Bloom informed Aniston about their decision to step into the role of godmother to their child. The Friends actress cried because of joy.

Katy and Jen have been very close friends for nearly a decade. Reports have it that the two recently spent time together amidst the coronavirus pandemic. A source of the outlet said during the lockdown, the two would go on socially-distanced walks.

Meanwhile, the "Roar" singer has been busy promoting her new album Smile which is set to be released August 14. During a virtual interview with a U.K.'s Capital FM, Katy was informed about a fan theory that she and Taylor Swift could be cousins

Host Sian Welby told the singer that there was a research that was done by a fan on the family history platform My Heritage. It showed that Perry and Swift are cousins. Katy quipped she and Swift do fight like cousins.

The American Idol star added that she needs to ask the "Lover" singer about if they are indeed cousins. Katy also expressed interest to have their DNA tested to officially declare them as cousins.

It could be recalled that there were rumors back in 2013 that the two were feuding. When Swift released her song "Bad Blood" the following year, it hinted about her conflict with an unnamed celebrity. Many believed that it was about her feud with Perry.

The two confirmed that there was no longer bad blood between them when Perry appeared in Swift's music video for "You Need to Calm Down" last year. Katy revealed that reconciliation started when she sent Taylor an olive branch before the latter kick off her Reputation world tour in May 2018.

Meanwhile, in another interview with U.K.'s Hits Radio, Perry talked about her pregnancy. Katy said she is "waddling like a duck" and breathing heavily.

Perry confirmed in March that she is pregnant after the release of the music video of her song, "Never Worn White." At the end of the MV, Katy showed her baby bump.

The "Firework" singer and Bloom got engaged in February 2019. They were expected to tie the knot this year but the couple postponed their wedding because of the coronavirus pandemic.
