Prince Harry turned his back on the life that he has known since he was born to live a “peaceful life” with Meghan Markle in the US. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex packed their bags and said goodbye to being senior royals and headed to Los Angeles for a fresh start.
It seems like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got what they wanted. The pair are now relocated to the former actress’ hometown with their son Archie, and Queen Elizabeth even said that she and the Royal Family are “entirely supportive” of the couple’s decision.
However, a new report claims that Prince Harry feels lost in the US. "Harry is really struggling with it, because what's he going to do in LA? What's he going to do anywhere?” royal author Tom Quinn said.
He pointed out that Prince Harry doesn’t hate being in the US, because being away from the British press was exciting for him, and he made Meghan Markle happy by bringing her back in her hometown. However, the Duke of Sussex is now feeling what the former actress was feeling when they were still in the UK, which is being “lost.”
Many believed that one of the main reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step down as senior royals is because of all the hate that they, especially Meghan, were receiving. But for Tom Quinn, it seems like the Duke of Sussex will have a tougher time now that he and his family moved to the US.
Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle both decided to quit senior royal life, the latter has received more hate over it. Many believed that if the Duke of Sussex didn’t meet and marry the former Suit star, he would still be a part of the Royal Family.
On top of that, the once-close bond of Prince William and Prince Harry has changed after the younger prince married Meghan Markle in 2018. The Duke of Sussex seemingly confirmed all the speculations of their rift last year when he said that he and Prince William are “on different paths."
Meanwhile, Kensington Palace revealed that one of the exit terms that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle agreed on is for them to prevent from using their HRH (His Royal Highness or Her Royal Highness) titles. Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex supported this decision, one royal author called Her Majesty “mean-spirited” for coming up with it.
