Wynonna Earp season 4 premieres later this month and we're going to see the titular character going on new adventures. But aside from her storyline, other characters' stories are also worth-exploring, including Katherine Barrell's Nicole Haught.
Nicole is one of the most essential characters in the series, and it looks like we'll be seeing big stories for her entering Wynonna Earp season 4. For instance, her relationship with Waverly Earp is one of the most interesting parts of the story.
The two are supportive, loving, and always support each other. They've fought hard to be together, but more threats are coming and it could test their relationship further. Nicole's relationship with Waverly will be challenged, especially since problems and threats are lurking around.
But beyond Nicole's love life, Wynonna Earp season 4 will also bring more chaos to the character. Speaking to TVInsider, Barrell teased that the biggest story for her character was the episode directed by lead star Melanie Scrofano.
Barrell said she leaned on Scrofano and trusted her co-star during the filming. She teased that the episode was challenging for Nicole's arc since we're going to see a side of her that we hadn't seen in a while. Aside from not playing the character for more than a year, she feels different this time.
Barrel noted that it's not about getting back and finding her character again, but it's more of playing a different side of Nicole that she wasn't really used to the energy of. So, it's interesting to see what the new season stored for the character in Wynonna Earp season 4.
As for what else is coming, the titular character needs to rescue and save everyone she loves, as well as the town of Purgatory. She has to take on her most Earp-hating enemy without her trustworthy gun, Peacemaker. New adventures and new threats are coming for Wynonna, Waverly, Nicole, and Doc.
Meanwhile, the series has been off-air for quite a long time and the good thing is that it's arriving on Syfy this month. However, filming of the new installment wasn't yet completed as production was halted due to the global health crisis. Only the first will be released, and then the series will go on a break.
Wynonna Earp season 4 arrives on Sunday, July 26, on Syfy. The fourth installment will continue airing until August 30 before going on a hiatus. There's no indication as to when filming could resume, though some speculated the second half could arrive in 2021.
