The Handmaid's Tale season 4 is coming on Hulu, but we just have to wait for a while as it will be arriving on the platform at some point in 2021. The series is one of the many shows that halted its production due to the global health crisis.

Despite the wait, there are a lot of things to look forward to in The Handmaid's Tale season 4, especially after everything that happened to June. She went through a dramatic transformation, making her more proactive and fierce than ever.

When it comes as to why June is still alive after everything she's been through, series star Elizabeth Moss has something to say about that. In a report via TVLine, she jokingly noted that her character's fate has to do with her status in the series.

Moss revealed that some people asked how June she survived and still alive, given that she committed the worst atrocities out of any of the handmaids. She offered an answer to that question, noting that her character is still alive because she is the lead of the series.

It only makes sense she survived everything she's been through since she is the center of almost everything. The series revolves around the story of the characters, so it would be odd if she'll suddenly be killed off. Moss said they're not going to not have her in the series, that's why June keeps surviving.

But, Moss also hinted that her character is getting close to being out of her nine lives, though that may not come too soon. There are still a lot of stories coming for June in The Handmaid's Tale season 4 -- not just about the revolution but also making sure that every single voice is heard.

The trailer of the new installment also featured action-packed scenes, with June and her allies working hard to upend the oppressive society of Gilead. Jane can also be heard saying she can't rest and change never comes easy and the war will not be going to win itself.

Meanwhile, Moss also revealed in the interview that she will be directing the third episode of The Handmaid's Tale season 4. It is a huge challenge and a big responsibility since the series comes with a lot of complicated scenes. But, this also allows Moss to be involved more on and off-screen.

The Handmaid's Tale season 4 is coming next year on Hulu, but the exact premiere date wasn't yet revealed. Cast and crew could start filming again when the situation gets a little bit better. Right now, the health and safety of everyone remain to be the top priority.
